I remember watching your eyes close for the last time.
I didn't know you was letting go.
I remember grandma promising everything would be fine.
How could she promise when she didn't know?

I remember watching your coffin disappear behind the net
I didn't know we was letting go.
I remember grandma promising never would we forget
The memories that made you smile and your eyes glow.

I remember all the hurtful things she said.
I didn't know she was letting go.
She killed our friendship left it dead.
For two years what have we got to show?

I remember the wish to die.
    I was letting go.
I remember the friendships that have made me try
Now to death I say no.
