....dead? Is it? I'm guessing. Why do you say that you don't feel?

Unfortunately, this argument was drawn from the accepted fact that if you are dead, then you do not feel, which is true. But assuming the premise that you do not feel, it does not follow that you are dead.
Analogy: If you have the flu, then you need to see the doctor. However, if you need to see the doctor, it doesn't necessarily mean you have the flu.
A logic fallacy known as affirming the consequent.
