I have made it through the moonlight of gloom,
Through the sunny desert of shame,
I have worn the glittery weights of doom,
And made music with the shackles of blame,
I fight the enchanting shadows of dark,
    no longer under their spell,
Although I make it through all of these things,
I could never do it alone.

I love your poem Daphna - especially the making music with the shackles of blame. Have just finished a 5-day hike in hill country here - and what kept me going on the bleak, seemingly never-ending ups was: "Guide me home, thou great Jehovah, pilgrim through this barren land. I am weak but thou art mighty, hold me with thy powerful hand - Strong Deliverer, strong deliverer, I will ever live for thee, etc. etc." Don't know if those are all of the right words, but it's a hymn that sounds absolutely glorious when sung by the Welsh male-voice choir......... :)
