OK, so let's see if I can be more consistent this month.

Last month I did something weird to my shoulder blade and it's now protruding a little! I went to the doctor, they think it's in the muscles. I've not lifted weights for 4 weeks, but my trainer asked me to come in on Friday and she's going to check out my mobility. It was a relief to hear her say she wants me to come back and she'll work with my issues. I mean, I guess that's her job, but I'm so used to messing up and people just not wanting anything to do with me. So, hopefully I'll be back at CrossFit again this month! I miss it.

Otherwise, I don't have much on my plate. More walking. I did about 60 miles last month. Shooting for 70 this month.

What is everyone else going to work on?

Mainly the bike for me since I am lazier as I age and it is easy to not push things too hard and have good control on how much and often. That is great on the mileage, average 2 miles a day and taking it as you can is a good idea and something that can be easier to stick with rather than giving up in frustration. :)

It was day three of my diet yesterday. My son and his girlfriend decided to come over for dinner so my husband came home with pizzas. Omg they smelled sooooo good! But I resisted, not even one slice. And not one of the profiteroles they had for dessert either *halo

Just trying to cut down on sugary stuff but finding it really hard. I know I'm not quite in the right head space yet - not in a bad way, just that it hasn't clicked with me properly yet - but I'm getting there. My aspirin allergy has flared up due to either a facecream or diet so I'm watching my diet for salicylates at the moment. My son looked at me this morning and said 'you look rough' now I feel great! :( Good news is that I got blood test results and everything is fine. Especially pleased that my blood sugar levels are OK now but I have high cholesterol. I'm very reluctant to take statins though.

Running back and forth at work is pretty good exercise, all over a 20 plus story building. Unless it is more than 4 floors I use the stairs. Gotta have a balance between the exercise and wearing yourself out.

I have low cholesterol, but take a daily statin due to plaque in my aorta that showed up in a routine CAT scan, mainly as insurance.

Are you concerned about potential adverse liver impact @BlueGreen ?

Just curious, if you'd rather not share, I completely understand...
No, it's fine. I just don't want to take a tablet I'm not sure is effective or necessary. I watched this video this week (I know, Dr Google!) and now I really don't want to take them.

I have a coronary calcium scan coming up soon so I'll decide after that. It seems to me they don't know enough about cholesterol yet and it's function. (Or maybe they do but doctors just learn that high cholesterol equals statins.) It's something the body makes and it has uses, so I'm just concerned about that. I wonder if statins are like margarine - in the days when butter was so bad that they manufactured margerine and said it was good. Will we look back at statins and be horrified?

I have gained recently too much good food for my birthday but all those free desserts are so good. I want to try and figure out my eating I love sweets way too much. Good thing is I workout most days. I just sit all day for work
Treating yourself at times is good to lessen the temptations, plus good is that you workout regularly.

I had a major slip with the diet yesterday. There's the most amazing bakery down the road from work and they regularly bring round all the cakes left over at the end of the day as they don't want to use them older than 24 hours. I have resisted so well up until now but yesterday a great big coffee and walnut cupcake fell into my mouth. It was so big I felt sick afterwards *shy
But it was soooooo worth it!

I weighed this morning and have lost 12lbs in 10 days. I just hope that cake doesn't come back to haunt me on the scales later in the week.

Now that March is here, I have no excuse not to get outside for walks again. When it’s cold (as in below zero to around 20°) I just cannot walk or jog outside. So I’ve been paciing indoors which I know sounds crazy & is - but for me some sort of movement is absolutely necessary.
I hope that during March i get more consistent with weight workouts & add jogging - walk/run/walk - back in to outdoor walks.
