mental health first aid

Has anyone done the mental health first aid course? What was it like?

I hadnt really heard of this until I came across it on Facebook. I have seen a few work places have some of their staff do the course so that the staff can feel more understanding about Mental Health in the work place.

Any experiences of this in the workplace?

Sorry if its in the wrong place wasnt sure where to place it

The course is designed for friends and family to help anyone in a mental health crisis. It focuses on conversation and communication in order to address anyone who might be in distress. And concrete steps to assess and deal with a crisis situation. I found it to be helpful and informative.

I've done it.
It is extremely basic. I work in a mental health prison and we have to take it every several years.
Not sure what your question is exactly though, sorry :)
