Can’t you see my eyes are dying
Can’t you hear my words lying
You shouldn’t face me and smile
You shouldn’t look through this file

Can’t you see my wounds are bleeding
Can’t you feel my mind slowly leaving
Pay no attention to a decaying soul
Put down your quill and seal the scroll

Don’t let the faint scent of life fool you
Don’t let my lifelong lie break through
All I want is a casket and a tomb
I wish to shiver alone through my doom

    With blood in hand
    I shall cross the land
Between the living and the dead
Count the steps till I lose my head

I fear only the touch of love and kindness
I much prefer this dreadful pain as my mistress
She feeds me generously with undivided attention
A faithful lover cradling me in this wretched dimension

    My hands will surely be
The ones who set me free
    When the mourners are none
The final deed will be done
