writers block... I can only really write stuff for school now... sad. And whats even more sad is that I have to somehow convince my religion teacher that this somehow counts as a song of praise... its either that or write something new, but I cant think of anything. Still felt like sharing:

You made us in flesh and blood
Gave us life and loved us
    You created paradise
    We rebelled

    Birds, fish, trees and animals
    Perfect world, perfect creation
    There was peace and harmony
    We destroyed it

    Lies, deceit, betrayal and death
    Ungrateful, we made you angry
You told Noah what would happen
    Then you destroyed us

We started over again all new
You told us to obey but we didn’t listen
You were forgiving and sent your son
    He died for us

Now as you watch us here on earth
    Destroying the world again
    Will you forgive us?
    I wonder

    We want to be forgiven
    Deliverance from our sins
    Will we be denied Christ?
    We wonder

    Dead angels from hell
    Whispered voices before our ears
Staring death right in the eyes

    Beckoning, do we give in?
Upon our end do we begin?
    Temptation lies before our eyes
The devils fruit for soul’s demise

    Its not too late
    We can still be saved

    Or is it too late?
    You’ve given up

We see it now and for that

    We’re sorry

    Hey you,
If 'Praise' consisits of awe, acknowledgement and humility - then you ACED it! (tell your teacher *I* said SO!). It's a FANTASTIC world, and we been screwing it up for a long time -- thinking ourselves masters, and not stewards - assuming we're God's gift to the planet, when the PLANET is the gift! (but don't get me started...oops - too late) --- in other words, I really dug your poem...

Thanks both of you... I've handed it in... hopefully I'm not gonna get a bad grade for it. And also FAL1, I think you make a very good point with that... the whole irony in this is that I'm not even religious, but I still think that we've been screwing the world up enough at it is... its time and past to try and fix things again. You dont have to be Christian to think that we should try and save the planet a bit.
