Praying to Gods and wishing on stars
I feel so far away, alone again today
Songs and chants fill the air
    We’re trying for something better

Beliefs fall short and dreams unhinge
Leaves spiraling downward in a daze
So many aches and pains surge through me
We’re colliding together, you and I

Where are you? Leaving me lonely
I’ve become something I’m unsure of
Please hold my hand and lead me
Far from the place with no light

    Looking up to the sky
    Raindrops kiss your face
    Dancing all around
    Savoring the taste

    Forgetting for the moment
    Of all the awful times
    Right now it’s only you
    Listening to the chimes

    The piano from inside
    Keeping to the beat
    The rain only aiding
To the pattering of your feet

    Together We'll Hide

    Writing to remember you
    And the feelings you sparked
    Where are you now?
Do you think of me too?

    We’re still very young
We can hold on to each other
    Never letting go
    And always remembering

    The time we’ve shared
    The memories we’ve made
    Are so very precious
    Together we’ll hide

    A Poem For Amy

    Your love for someone else
    Is torture to my soul.
If I could only hold you
    Maybe this pain would subside.

Believe my love for you is strong-
Strong enough to break my heart.
My death seems simple to do
But a decision to big to decide.

Seeing you feels like my death
But you also bring me hope for new life.
A life where you and I exist
Standing strong by each others side.

My heart is covered in darkness- A cold, boundless darkness.
I reach for the warmth of the sun but the sun always rejects me.
She turns her back on me, leaving me with the icy moon.

Here, the wind does not blow in gentle breezes.
It does not flow with intentions of hope and love.
The wind comes in thrusts of harsh, cold air.
Bring with it shouts of fear and anger.

I once enjoyed the sight of rain- Natures way of bringing life.
But here is rains constantly, causing the earth to flood.
All I can do is wait here in this icy, fearful, dark place.

I am waiting - waiting to meet the person who will shine hope on me.
The person who will cover me in a warm blanket of love.
She will dry the flooded earth and new life will emerge-
A life over flowing with peace and happiness.

    Tears streaming down
    Remembering the time
    When as a young child
    Everything perfectly rhymed

    Wanting to go back
    Knowing you can’t
    Makes you feel so small
    Like the tiniest of ants

    All things have changed
    Keeping to yourself
    Hiding in memories,
    Pretending you never felt

    The Haze

Feelings of rejection flood my mind
    Never understanding why this is
Your voice resounds in my head
Replaying what you said that night

    Picking up the blade
    My mind running full force
    Taking what information it needs
    To make the first cut

Again and again, it’s all a haze
    Slicing into an eternal dream
Wishing you would just hold me
    Knowing that will never be

    Barefoot Decembers

    One touch
    Never fading
    Sweet Surrender
    Bodies aching

    Hearts kindle
    Romantic Affair
    Never knowing
    Never dared

    Slightly awake
    Can’t remember
    Running ‘round
    Barefoot Decembers

    My Girl

    Red splattered on walls
    Dripping from the ceilings
Oh no, what’s that in the tub
    Kids put in Kool-aid?
    Wtf, get her out!
    Call 911
    Put on pressure
    Wake her up!!
    What? No.. no
    It can’t be
    My girl..
    She’s gone

    Rain pounding hard
    I take her hand
    My mind is whirling
    There’s no escape

    Held so close
    I will never forget
    Powerful emotions
    Hearts forever stitched

    Never letting go
    Our racing hearts
    And tingling fingers
    Are always intertwined

    Your soft embrace
    Touching ever so lightly
    So many emotions
    Formed into a kiss

    Laying next to you
    Cuddled tightly in a ball
    My love for you courses
    Through my outstretched arms

    Holding you close
    Never forgetting
    This moment is perfect,
    We will be forever

Your poetry is so beautiful  I love the rhythm in them. And the kind of elegance and tenderness they have, they remind me of haikus or something.

I like 'Waiting' 'The Haze' and 'Us' the most, but I love them all :)

    The Kiss

    When will you come back?
    Don’t you remember your promise?
I will always be at the window
    Forever waiting till your return

I will never forget that kiss
So gentle, while the rain drizzled
    You are forever my angel
Always in my heart you’ll be

    At the window, I’ll wait
Till the day you come back to me
    Thinking only of you
    And the kiss, years ago

    This Moment

    What I would give
To be with you right now
    To hold you close
    In this pale moonlight

    My arms circle you
A gentle hug made to soothe
Leaning in, I whisper those words
    Then kiss your cheek

Not think of anything but the now
Resting my head on your shoulder
    Just us, just this moment
    The way it should be

    The Pier

Running away as fast as you can
But to where? Do you even know?
The cold air hits your cheeks
Like slaps on the face as you go

    Past the old mall, restaurants
You see a dirt road and turn on to it
    “Faster” you tell yourself
Trying to escape that awful dream

You reach the end of the road
You see a pier nearby and walk down
You realize you can’t take anymore
And jump in, ending it all
