My mom might have Covid

She came home on Friday with a sore throat. She wears a face shield at work, but she's in contact with hundreds of people every day. She was thinking it's bronchitis, and they gave her amoxicillin for the symptoms. She had to take a test and we won't know the results until Wednesday. So I'm hoping that neither of us have it. Just a bit worried at the moment.

Well they don't know for sure what she has yet. But I hope something will help.

I think they gave her that because they suspect bronchitis right now. She also has inflammation in her ears.

@Witty⭐️Sarcasm ⭐️ I hope your mom doesn't have covid. These days a sneeze can worry us. I know a sore throat is usually my first sign of a cold. So try not to worry. I probably is not covid.

I'm assuming that because Amoxicillin is a broad spectrum antibiotic, the doctor was playing it safe until test results are confirmed. It can be a bit hit and miss for respiratory infections, but it may be of some benefit.

I know it's easier said than done, but best you can do is wait till the results come back and go from there. Hope it won't be covid but at the most the usual common cold which happens at this time of the year.
