This year it will be 23 years since I lost my beautiful mum. Yet the pain still feels as sharp as it did the day she died. Why won't it go away? She was my world. I miss you mum. So much.

I think we hurt as much as we loved...I lost a dear friend 20 years ago, myself and I miss him today almost as much as I did then...we had a virtually perfect relationship...always could resolve things, never hid anything from each other...a true love with little conflict...I wish I had him here now too

Thank you very much. My mum was my world and we did everything together. I know because I wasn't with her when she died I have carried an immense amount of guilt as well, which I know won't help.

We are always brilliant in hindsight...if you knew she was going to die, I am sure you would have been there...maybe time to forgive yourself?
