my way of preventing me from self harm

    So I haven't self harmed for almost 2 months now

    And although I've had plenty of triggering issues around me for these past few months (some of them pretty intense), I didn't self harm so basically what I did was like when I was triggered to do it and my mind would kept saying "I need to cut I need to cut" and just couldnt stop thinking about it I would immeaditly remind myself of little "distractions" like for example: "let me just drink some water first" or "let me just organize my desk first (my ocd helped haha) or a bunch of other little things

    and after doing those rather small activities I felt somewhat calmer and not as angry as before

    I know it's hard, i still suffer from urges but now I feel more in control of myself rather letting cutting control me
