  1. This somethingness of mine
    Prevents the nothingness of time
    Controls the happiness of glee
    Commands the emptiness of me
    Demands the joyfulness of flight
Keeps out the Darkness of the night
Consoles the meanness of the world
    Contains the prettiness of pearl
    Scatters wealthiness and riches
And sends the message of this which is...
    This somethingness of mine
    Prevents the nothingness of time
    And the rhymingness which I'm
Running out of things to say.

  2. Things don't nesessarily have to rhyme to be good. It certainly captured my attention... which I'd say is good.

  3. Yeah, a lot of my poems don't rhyme but this one just popped into my head one day. A lot of publishers are dogging me to let them publish it.

  4. I actually had a poem about "religion" published in a book called The Rising Sun. I'm assuming it's a christian collection of motivational poems/works, but do not know exactly. I never got paid & they kept trying to sell me a $60 copy. *shrugs*

  5. OH MY GOD, they did the same thing to me. Those bastards.....

That sucks. I got a free copy each time I was published, and I was properly covered personally by copyright too. Guess you guys had immoral companies.

Anyway, I like the way the poem sounds.

  7. Well, I just entered that poem to a contest that my English teacher had a flier advertising it. I hope I win it. The results were supposed to come in this month.
