I was so happy to hear someone I really care about has made some positive firm committments to herself (http://www.suicideforum.com/showthread.php?p=164375) for a period.

that I decided to kick of the obligatory "New Years Resolution" thread.

Heres some for me that im going to try and get done:

1) Start working again, casual, enough to supplement my earnings from internet business
2) Get back into my internet business, hardcore, like i had planned to do before I quite my last job
3) Get enough money to move out into a nice apartment of my own
4) Start doing my university reintroduction course, which will run a few months, so in the second half of 2007 or 2008 i can start my degree in environmental science/town planning
5) Do a few short evening courses in meditation and languages - things ive been wanting to do for ages
6) Work on re-establishing some sort of network of friends
7) Work on my confidence and shyness around woman
8) Start going to the gym, and playing squash again
9) Develop some hobbies outside of damn work and computers
10) Join some social groups perhaps, and build some sort of social life for myself

Oh and the big one

11) Really work hard on Shooru, cause im having so much fun doing it atm!!!

So lets hear it guys. What are your new years resolutions?

1. Try to feel less afraid in general
2. Do more studying instead of going on SF
3. Exercise and eat healthier in order to lose weight
4. Set up appointment with a therapist
5. Feel like I deserve to get better
6. Try not to assume things like everyone hates me
7. Read more for fun and for school
8. Not have social anxiety disorder which I know might take a while
9. Have more confidence and figure out how to make friends better
10. Be a better friend to my only friend

Good luck with your resolutions, everyone! Some of mine are going to be really hard though... but I will try.

My New Year's Resolution is to have no resolutions.

Honestly, sometimes it can be a good thing to sit back, relax, and enjoy life, free of any obligations.

Actually, there are a few things I'll be doing. I plan to eat more (yes more, I haven't been eating enough, and I should be eating healthier when I do.) I'll also be running nearly every day until my lungs burn (not literally ;)) and/ or weights, boxing bag, and will drink a lot more water each day as well.

I have other school-related and career goals, but those are long-term rather than annual goals, so I won't list them here. My main goal for 2007 is just to stay alive, so if I've not OD'd, been gunned down, or hit by a car by this time next year, I'll consider myself successful!

My New Year's resolutions:

1. Be the first man on earth to bench press 2000 lbs.

2. By the sheer force of my will, to increase my IQ rating to a degree greater
than has ever been seen before, thereby transforming myself into the world's
first super genius. :albert:

3. To become the world's richest man while only working part time at Burger King.

4. To use my favorite set of roller-blades to utterly shatter the world record
for absolute land speed. :1st: ( the current record is 763.035 mph, but... I've been training really hard. )

5. To be able to do 1000 push-ups without using my arms.

6. To stop living in a fantasy world. :screwloos
