  1. Night

    These long lonely hours
    do not keep me company
    but verily they mock me,
    chiding me in repetitious moments
    Where I am lost, and floundering
    beset by wondering
    how much I must endure;
    How long do I trudge
    through the impossible times
    where the mindful disappears;
    Replaced by ensuing madness
    where nothing makes sense
    and confusion reigns supreme,
    befuddled, baffled and tormented,
    lead down fey paths of the demented
    If I had a voice,
    I’d scream
    For terror is not granted choice
    by those who wish to be redeemed
    in knowing right from wrong,
    but only knowing that this night is long…

    Out of the two you have recently posted, this is my favorite. That's probably because I can relate to these feelings. But, you have expressed them far better than I ever could.

    As is always the case, I love the poetry but not the feelings that bore it.:sad:

    love you,
