work in progress.... and still untitled

    paint a perfect picture
    tell a perfect lie
    sing a song of beauty
    a haunting lullaby
    sing a song of sorrow
    make that imprint last
    of suffering and silence
    tell them of your past
    the yelling screaming
    fighting drinking bleeding
    and then finally sinking
    lulled to sleep
    by a twisted lullaby
    which tries to comfort you
    with each note as
    it slowly tears you apart
    with razors and knives
    staining a blood red dress
    hiding the scars
    and then finally
when you cant take it anymore
    death is there
    haunting you at the door
    its a stab away
    a bottle of pills
    the lake in midwinter
finally it lulls you to sleep
    death's twisted lullaby

    lullaby (finished?? maybe... dunno)

she sings a song of sorrow
    to make that imprint last
    singing suffering and silence
she tells them of your past

    the yelling screaming
    fighting drinking bleeding
    and then finally sinking

    lulled to sleep
    by a twisted lullaby
    which tries to comfort you
    note by note
    a haunting melody that
    slowly tears you apart
    with razors and knives
    staining a blood red dress
    which hides the scars
    and then finally
when you cant take it anymore
    you are there
    knocking on death's door

you have to keep trying to get in
    and still failing
    stopped by the real world
it fast becomes a game of tag
    escaping reality
    trying not to be caught
    and then finally

    you succeed
    the door opens
    and lulls you to sleep
    upon death's bed
    her twisted lullaby

and still she sings her song of sorrow
    to make that imprint last
    of suffering and silence
    speaking of the past

    haunting words
    they're never forgotten
    death's twisted lullaby

  5. 'Great piece of expression - poignant and descript - I really like the meter and sentiment (and rhyme).

I don't know how quickly it came to you, but that's fine work, though I'm sorry for your pain and its reality...
