How do I get notifications if someone has replied to a post or commented to the same post I have x

At the top of each thread page you can find a line with options. Choose Thread Tools > Subscribe to this Thread.

Hi I still can't get notifications. So If someone replies to my post the only way I can tell is by going through my profile to check if there are any replies

You could try going into setting and clicking Pop-Up notifications; that might work

That way (if it works) a prompt will appear wherever you are on the screen

I don't believe there is another way to get notification of new posts in your threads other than what you are already doing, sorry about that, would be cool if there was though. x

Overall I generally find if anyone answered my new posts by looking through the ''new posts'' tab. Yes I know it shows all posts but I guess it's another way than going through your profile.
