Death, like life, is a right
After all, I did not ask to be here in the first place.
Ruled by my own desperation and despair,
Nothing can justify the path that is chosen.
The same way a person would jump from a burning window.
The fear of falling remains constant.
The variable, is the other terror, the fire's flames.
When the flames are close enough
falling to death becomes the slightly less terrible of two terrors
It's not the desiring the falling the fall; it's the terror of the flames
You'd have to be personally trapped and felt the flames
to understand a terror way beyond falling -
It's invisible agony that reaches a certain unendurable level
Fewer solutions to unsolvable problems at my feet, I can't defeat
Laid down at "my place" tonight and chose life; but that's only one day
Tomorrow is another day to chose
