I feel so numb at the moment. I don’t really care anymore. I am beyond caring about what happens to me. I dropped a carving knife and tried to catch it between my stomach and the bench, but I missed and it fell to the floor. Most people would step away from a falling knife, not step into it. I missed and there was no relief that it didn’t cut me. No disappointment either, I just don’t seem to care either way.

Are you getting any help for your pain?

Yes, I am (medication and therapy). How much it's helping is up for debate.

I was like that for the longest time, before I talked to someone. I never felt any legitimate emotion, just made it look like I did. Anyway, I've been there, and trust me, with meds and therapy, you'll come around. It's just a matter of time.
