One of my favorite philosophers

I almost want to put this in the "Motivational" category, but that might be a little iffy.

I love E. M. Cioran. He was such a pessimist that I can't help but feel better when I read him (usually).

"Unlike Job, I have not cursed the day of my birth. Every day since, however...."

I hope this one is not 'verboten' here...“It is not worth the bother of killing yourself, since you always kill yourself too late.”

I could go on and on, but he wrote his own books (so I don't need to) and I am Trying4Life and have responsibilities to attend to.

Oh, man. Cioran was one of my favorites a few years ago.

It was Cioran, Schopenhauer, Thomas Ligotti...

If you're into that kind of philosophy, definitely check out the first season of True Detective.
