Panic Attacks with Food?

About a year ago I developed panic attacks, pretty well out of the blue (I think it's perimenopause related). Along with getting anxiety over everything I do, now, I developed panic attacks/severe anxiety over eating. I lost 80 pounds in a year. I couldn't put anything at all in my mouth without getting panic. Can't take pills. Since I quit smoking 4 months ago, the few things I can eat (toast, yoghurt, a few other things) I'm eating like crazy, so I gained back almost 30 pounds in four months. But I still get anxiety and panic when confronted with most foods and all medicines.

Worst part is knowing that this is really stupid but having it anyhow.

Has anyone else ever had this? What is it?

I get panic attacks with food, i've had anorexia for years, and just the thought of food or handling it causes me to freak out, the only way i can calm down is to either burn myself or smoke a cigarette. It doesn't help that I work as a line cook (i can't get a job doing anything else right now so just don't ask questions about it). So i'm always freaking out in other words. If I can't go outside for a cigarette I can "accidently" burn myself on a pan or oven, my arms and legs are absolutely covered in burn scars.
