Looking up into the sky, the colors mix and blur
But not today, as the clouds loom overhead
As it gives me my canvas for the day

    My paper white sky
I close my eyes, and imagine the possibilities
Different colors swirling about on my canvas
Different shapes taking form, bright and light
Swirling around my paper white sky

The colors mix, a large black spot on the sky
Then spread themselves out, all blots changing
Changing from the black to colors of sorts
Spreading themselves in a new pattern, a new form

Hours upon hours, seconds to their own
As shapes and colors race across the sky
Creating a new painting every time
And still filling the infinite sky

The colors change to dark, as does the sky
Wipe the canvas clean, my black stained sky
Pinholes of stars streak the night
As an artists work is done, going to bed. Goodnight
