I walk in and what do you see?
What you see is a parade of me
    The faces all swirling
    The colors all blurring

A face is seen, the mask is pulled, as another quickly takes it place
Pulling masks as more appear, the masquerade continuing
Unable to see past the fa├žade, unable to see the sad clown underneath
Unable to see the makeup polluted tear slide from inside

The last mask is removed, and what is seen?
Not a happy clown, with a bright red nose
Nothing but a putrid little boy shows
    Nothing but me shows

The masks shatter, razor edges slicing whatever they might touch
Harming those around them as well, they continue to shatter

The parade is over, the tents all taken down
The lions are caged, and the actors are all gone
All that remains from the parade, and all that is seen
Is a little boy wearing a mask, alone.
