    darkness listens to you child
    but voices muffle their whispering
don't let them deceive your worried head
we all fall down, belong to the king

the mask is just a force-field
your empathy will paralyze the blight
the reflection that you are seeing
is your love, yourself, you're alive

    darkness is consuming but,
it will help you through the end
    so don't deny your suffering
let the suffering lend a hand

he pays you with his crying
his tears fall upon your eyes
    blind daughter, blissful life
don't you dare lie to me
    it's his revenge you see

men in black coats in the kitchen
    shiny spoons digging into dessert
at the wake of the funeral
you watch them laugh play in the earth

    have you awoken little child?
from this nightly sleep you have called
    into wet dreams of disaster
can you fight the red blood?

    trigger happy ghetto shroud
she smiles on her phentermine pills
germs pollute the halls of the proud
someone's off on a delusional spill

    and she's shaking, pounding
at the dust the smoke the paradise
she chose her place to rot inside
and it came with no such price

    she just left herself there
    standing in an echoy room
and when you wanted an apology
instead you were met with her heart of poison

Give me a good reason to live
Give me a good reason not to sell myself short!
You have taken it all before I learned to hoard
My treasures, my self, my own worth.

When he softens my skin within
    The bleached pale corpse's asylum
Perhaps than he may learn to feel
    feel the one, my only...perception.
