Your skirt swings on a clothes-hanger
    Cadent in meter and motion

    I ironed it
    I hung it up
    Nicely and neatly
    Carefully creased

    Thought you would wear it
You had it spread across the couch
Thought you would like it ironed

    I, personally, like it ironed.

It always looks nice on you -- as everything
(except, perhaps, the grey of death)

    And on it swings
    (I hold my breath)

    And on it swings.

    Just beautiful.

    Economical, powerful, figurative and literal.

    Got all the bases covered.

    Thanks for the bumps.
