    I’ve played this game before
    You say
    It’ll be alright
    I smile
Because there’s nothing left to say
But what we both mean is
    I’ve done this dance before
    You say
    It’s almost over
    I sigh
    And say
    It’s never over.
You smile as if I made a joke
    We both know
    I’m not really laughing
And it’s not going to be
    I’ve done this before
    But not with you
I thought you were better than that
    I hoped.
    Platitudes don’t help anyone
    Except maybe
    the people who speak them.
Did you feel like you’d done something?
    Telling someone who’s falling
    That it’s almost over
    Is just telling them
They’re about to hit the ground.
Maybe you felt like you’d finished with me
Well I don’t get over people
    That fast
    Better you had said nothing
    Than left me with that.
  2. Platitudes are my *worst* personal nemesis, in trying to live a real life, even through great pain.
What you said was true, they make the owner feel better
    offering a so-called 'gift'.
    I loved this piece!
    (you're brilliant y'know...)
(and I wish you weren't hurting so)

I also love this piece. It and you are brilliant, and I am also sad that you are in distress.

    Written and bluntly thrust...

    I love it.

I feel so honored that you three responded, and so positively. Thanks, eh. Really. Keeps this little and big stuff --abit-- from eating me alive.

    That's what sharing is for.
I don't think there's a guarantee for 'answers' per se, for anyone ---
but here, your words are always read...
    with Respect, and Empathy...

(You express yourself so well, it's near impossible not to!)
