  1. Help Yourself!
Up, and out, from the grave
No matter what you gave, and
that which clutches and claws at your very being,
and keeps you from seeing what you knew before
But all avenues are closed doors
Help, you say, is just a hope away
Help you, friend, never had need of
You never bleed of wounds that have no salve
    Bleeding, do you see me,
    doing so copiously,
with wounds that cannot be healed
    by your pallid, simple remedy
    and platitudes
Oh, but the words you choose to use!
As if your saying them had some sacred power
    to brighten my very darkest hour;
And that it is my fault
    that in my downfall
it was you who would give me wings
    I do not use
    to make my soul sing,
    with you as my muse,
    while you never knew
    to begin with…

Another excellent opus, FAL1!!  I am so sorry for the deep hurt and sorrow that precipitates your poetry tho, and always feel so divided when I praise your writings. Your poetry is beautiful but unbearably sad and frustrated and I don't want to sound like I'm praising those feelings - it's just your incredible ability to voice, so beautifully, those feelings.

    My God you're good!!:eek:hmy: :eek:hmy:

I hope that made sense - it did to me...

  3. Yeah Sooz, it makes sense...

I'm always honoured by your comments and the care you take. I myself wish I were in a different state and that I didn't feel the need to express what I do in these poems, especially in the wee hours when I can't sleep and things are darker than dark all around me, and I feel swallowed, engulfed. It almost makes me feel guilty for posting them, but words are all I have left. What I wouldn't give to be able to write about The Positive and The Beautiful and the Soul Singing in Awe once more. I lost that, and it's been killing me slowly.
So, these words I put out for others to be witness to, and share in understanding the pain of the human condition is a lifeline, and I don't know what I'd do without SF and the support I get here, especially from you :stretcher
