    I enjoy my daily walks

    and I love my contemplations.

    I'm contented in my thoughts

    and having my senses filled

by what I see and hear and smell.

I'm astounded by the colours and more so

    by tones and shades.

Textures intrigue me and the patterns

    caused by movement and growth.

I love the effects that sunlight has

    leaving somethings in shadow

The way the wind causes movement

    and orchestrates the trees.

The sight and sounds of running water

still captivates the boy in me.

If when I am old and blind

I shall sit and play back

these experiences in my minds eye

and be content with my lot.

If all else fails please grant me pleasant memories.

Since I became sick my senses have failed me. You have reminded me what is beautiful about this world.

Observation is a process of the intellect or the spirit. This then effects the emotions which are found in the soul. What we trust in has an effect on all that we think, observe and comprehend. Sadly these things are no longer taught and so they have gradually been eroded from the understanding.
I used to guide a guy on hikes into the mountains. John was born blind and has never seen light. While hiking I used to explain the things I saw. It was during these hikes that I discovered how much I'd been missing and taking for granted.
    Thanks for the comment.
