something i wrote during my darkest days... do you have any?

Poetry is a membrane of memories
Dark cells that conceal the mind
When attempts of dreaming screw up
    Watch that cold slimy hand
form under the bed of sadness
    ready to grab your leg
    wanting to stuff you down
    its abysmal throat
as you refuse to answer any call
    thinking it’s Lucifer’s code
or unsealed insanity in your mind
    or caffeine in coffee.
    Then you breath slowly
fearing asphyxia’s choke with ethereal fingers
worried that Elvis might burst out from the speakers
to hand you a warm dope
worried that another attempt at writing
    might leave you dry
    believing your just a
    hologram in this world.
    Reach in your pocket
and find a picture a dead
    Jesus Christ.

I've written dozens and dozens of poems about death and suicide, and a couple of short stories.

Quite a few are about abuse and rape, though, so watch for triggers.
