  1. Private Vengeance

    I practice all my vengeance
    in words, on paper,
    setting them free
I rarely send them anywhere else
but keep them mostly just for me
Oh, I could indeed well send them out
and target those who’ve done me wrong
Such words, I know, would find their mark
but the satisfaction wouldn’t last as long
Not quite as long as drawn out therapy
    in finding ‘bon mots’ repeatedly…
    For in private, they’re perpetual,
and as spiteful as they need to be
    And furthermore,
    I’d just abhor
    an (inevitably) thought-less, witless reply…
(like childish phrases, such as telling me to go “fuck off and die!”)
So I’d rather gloat as I release
    my negative, pent-up energy;
The world is full of futile efforts
so I’ll keep these close to me...
Yes, for now I’ll hold my secrets
The pen is as mighty as the sword,
but I’ve not ‘said’ a word!

    (…not yet!)

only one other consistent writer here had such dexterity, i think there name was lentil illness or something like that (no disrespect) they featured more word play and the vocabulary was vast, yet you have more flow and better descriptions. the other main difference was that they didn't target anything/one in particular, always a terrific read. naturally I favour the zip in your eelish charges of wit though, a protected english upbringing such as mine probably finds more solace in that, we always raise our game for an old enemy too. makes me think of fawlty towers, the german scene:biggrin:

i'll put this in one of your better ones, not like that procrastination one, that sucked gravy granules:tongue:
