has anyone ever gone to an outpatient program and they decided that inpatient would be better?

Your decision or the clinic's decision? I've been to an outpatient clinic trying to get into impatient. They spent time talking with me, then sent me home.

yeah, like the outpatient program wouldn't be as good as inpatient.

You could always write down the thoughts your having and go to the ER.. Let them read it and tell them you aresuicidal.. They should admit you voluntarily for at least 72 hours to do an assesment on you..You usually see a shrink and in my case they also had me seeing a therapist..
