    "Quilt"

    Life hangs over me

Like a thick quilt, smothering and monstrous

It is mixture of my percieved imperfections

    And existence in over-drive

Inadequecy is the barbed pillow I sink into at night

I don't mind the scratches they cause

Because the barbs are my own fingernails

I wonder if there is a meaning to anything, a reason

Or if I am just here because of instinct

    The Quilt becomes my lover

The only thing that ever knows me

    Completely and without regret

Life lacks regret in knowing me,

    How comforting...how comforting
