  1. regrets i've had alot. but then again too much to mention.
i know i said i was going but hey that's me. unpredictable!
coming of age (turning 18) on tuesday really freaked me out. i know it's stupid as
it's only a day's difference but..it's symbolic for me you know. and
people start treating you differently. you're held responsible for
your own actions. you're no longer guided and protected but thrown
into a world you never knew could be so harsh. i'm not seen as the
future anymore. just another lost cause. people used to feel sorry for
me and`excuse my weaknesses. now they're just disgusted.
here's a list of things i've never done and regret not doing.
    i've never:

    been in a fight
    learned to ride a bike
    got straight as
    kissed
    got high
got in trouble with the law
    had sex
    finished homage to catalonia
    gambled
    made a true friend
    learned to drive
    had a job
become computer literate. i know how to use the internet and various
word programs but that's about it
    been to a good concert
been active in any kind of organisation- e.g. social, political,
    religious, humanitarian etc
    learned a foreign language
    developed muscles
    taken care of my teeth
    eaten healthily
    developed a fashion sense
    developed any kind of identity
asserted any kind of masculinity. i hate sport, i cry during chick
flicks and i still well away from any kind of manual work. but funnily
enough i'm not gay, although i sometimes wish i was. it would make
    things a whole lot easier.
been comftorbale with my body. i'm average looking and only slightly
overweight but it's enough to kill your confidence.
learned to play a musical instrument.
wandered whether god exists (he doesn't)
    fired a gun
completed final fantasy 8 or 10
    learned to cook
    had a bank account
    stood up for myself
met a sikh, jew, muslim, hindu, buddhist or any other religious
    minority
    taken care of the environment
figured out what the hell i want to do with my life.
done something rebellious, frightening or risque
    won a game of chess
    dyed my hair
cracked a brilliantly witty and on the mark joke which induced barrels
    of laughter
visited a major foreign city like berlin, france, washington D.C.,
    tokyo, beijing or moscow
finished the communist manifesto or any volume of kapital
    caught the bus

So today is for writing about all those things you have never done. Tomorrow is the day to pick one from the list and try. The next day another and so on and so on. Rather than regretting all the things you have never done, be happy about all the things you have a life time left to accomplish! Turning 18 yes, it is scary with all the facts of life that come with it. But some are great like finally being legally independant, being able to make choices for yourself with no parental interference and being legal to drink in some countries (lol). Think of this as a new chapter in the book about you. It could read something like this.... Yesterday I was just a child with a list of things that I had never acomplished in my life. Today I awoke an adult! I gingerly picked up the list, changed the title to things I have to do with my life and eyed it eagerly as I tried to pick which task to conquer first!!! Here's to task number 1... good luck!!!!

  3. thanks for your kind words but i'll be dead soon so it's unlikely i'll have much time to accomplish these things. i may not be a kid anymore but i'm certainly still living like one. i shpuld have my life together by now but i don't. i feel so worthless and pathetic

i havent done a lot of those things either (i would like to though) but some i have and you really dont want to be doing them (fighting, drugs, get in trouble with the law, etc) because they could end up causing more problems than what its worth.

I really feel like I have missed out on life because i have not done a lot of things, some that i will never be able to do now im older (silly teenage stuff) but a while back i done some stuff that was awesome.

people who i thought were my friends took me out and we went to McDonalds, went to the cinema, went bowling, went on a train, and went to the fair.
its stuff which may seem simple to everybody else but was pretty impressive for me. i had never done any of those things before (i was about 21 at the time, may be 20 - i forget how long ago it was!) and it was some big steps for me.
i had no idea how to get food from McDonalds, i knew about the concept from the internet and tv etc but i had never done it myself (yes i know people will probably think that is weird), but doing it, and the fact that i was there with people that i love(d) was so great.

im sorry that got a little long winded there but basically what im trying to say is dont give up on trying to do those things on your list. do them, then decide what you want to do with your life and decide if you want to live anymore, but just experience everything first.

me, i still want to die but im so glad i done those things and they made me so happy and being with those certain people doing it was so awesome i will never forget it.

You're better off not doing half of the things mentioned in that list anyway. You're young anyway, 18 isn't really that much of a change, it just has legal consequences. You have an awful lot of time to do everything you want to do.

I agree with Carla, You should make a list of all the things you want to do, and do them one by one :) I'm sure that will make you feel better about yourself and make you feel you haven't missed out on anything. Please dont commit suicide, stick around and we will try and help you :)
