    Releasing my feelings (TRIGGER WARNING)

Ny poem isn't that great, but I just wanted to share it with everyone:)

    DREAMS

your so asleep you don't know where your at
I try to wake ya but you cant get outta it
Trying to wake up out of it but your stuck In it.
Your trying to run away but these walls are closing in on you
The nightmare is about to begin because he is about to approach you.
I can hear your heart racing
So hard, it is easy for tracing
You stand up and it's too hard for pacing
I can hear you trying to figure out how to start chasing
But your stuck in the room
    There's nothing you can do
To ease your heart rate down.
So you wait for him to come on in
But it feels like it is infinity,
Because You can hear the anger in his voice.
You try to take yourself to another place
But it is like getting sprayed in the face w/ mace
You can see the angry man ready to break the door down
Your thinking to yourself that your going to drown
    In your own blood
You can see that your own blood is going to over- flood
In your own room because you realize it's not a dream
You try to believe its not a dream but there is blood rolling down your body like a stream.
You can't fight the urge, you start to scream.
But no one is there for you, but your own enemy.
You can see in his eyes that he is a archenemy!

Excellent title :) i, too, use poetry as a release. Words flow like water, less resistance than blood. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! It was actually a dream I recently had so I wrote it down, and as you can see, you know what my dream was about. It was about me getting killed. Whenever I wake up for a night mare, I think it's real and I freak out... Because its pretty darn scary!!

i have a lot of realistic dreams. It's very disconcerting to suddenly wake up, thrashing about, trying to peel your eyes open only to discover they already are open. To realize you were gasping for breath in an alien world, abandoning your featherless hummingbird of a heart beneath skies of another color can be... confusing, to say the least. Even more so when you understand what you feel is real despair for the loss of a world you'll never visit again, a world that never existed outside the walls of your own hollow skull. Strange the way our brains make connections when we sleep.

Yeah, it's very weird how you can have dreams when you're sleeping..
