my name has been used in this poem, however the other friend is ficticious

this about someone who is about to commit suicide writing to there best frined 1 more time

    remember me this way

    dear friend:

i know that this is hard for you,

    i know you're pretty sad

i hope you can still think about

    the lovely times we had

    the times you were supportive

    the times you comforted me

the times i let the tears just show

and it was okay for you to see

so do not shed a tear for me,

    do not cry today

    read yourself this letter

    and remember me this way.

remember when we met each other

    back when we were small?

we did not have much to talk about
    hardly anything, at all

but we were atracted to each other

    we had a special connection

    every day and every night

    sharing our affection

we grew up, learnt about each other
    i introduced my family

    mother, sister, brother

    those were so precious memories

those were the good old days

so do not cry for me, my friend

    remember me this way

remember when we went through school?

    things were pretty slow

but never did you leave my side

    never did you go

you helped me pass my tests

    you helped me every time

you helped me put my mind to rest

and you used to give me signs

that showed me what to write

and showed me what to do

    you helped revise at night

    and through the weekends, too

i know there could have been better things

    to occupy your day

so when you think about those times,

    remember me this way

remember when you sat with me

    in my first job interview

you smiled at me and guided me

i knew just what to do

i got that job, you know my friend

remember i worked for a year?

till things they got, too out of hand

    it started all the tears

    things that got between us

    was never quite the same

in sted of care free living

you were feeling all my pain

so when you read this letter, and think about that day

remember you did all you can to help

    remember me this way

and so my friend, my time is up

my time has come to part

i hope i'll always be with you,

    right there, in your heart

i know it's hard to say good bye

    i know i really do

but don't think about the bad things

    i wouldn't want you to

my friend thank you for everything

but i've got to do what's right

i'll send this letter sometime today

then i'll end it all tonight

1 more thing, before i go,

    please remember who i am

and don't forget the times we had

    yours sincerely**

Hi Dan and we would rather celebrate you while you are here than remember you...and I am sure your friends have these fond memories as well...J
