  1. Repentance

    I asked for strength,
    but found only fury in the end,
    for being ignored, falsely led ~
    Though I’d seen strength’s face before…

    I asked for mercy,
    But found only rebuke, in need.
    Nowhere did the journey lead
    but to an ever-closing door…

    I asked for a way out,
    or some way in;
    Had I committed a wayward sin?
    I heard no answer
    but a portend of my coming woe.

    I asked for answers I could not then find.
    Oh, how I begged;
    I’d sought each way
    to resolution,
    but granted no solution…

    Then, when cajoled to say yes
    to Acceptance,
    I found in me,
    after a while,
    no repentance,
    and answered “No” ~
    And have suffered ever since.
    Through no fault of my own,
    comes no resolution…

    I did not give up
    Just gave in.

    I wish I could not relate to this one, but I know it all too well...

    sometimes it is just easier to give and say what needs to be heard other than what it is you really feel...

    I know.

    Another winner!:yes: :clap: :cheer: You've not just got 'a way with words', you've got The Way with words.

    I can relate to this, whether I want to or not - I can certainly understand it.

    love and hugs:hug: :flowers:

  4. Sorry for “the relating” (trig), but thanks so much for your comments. What is it about the stubborn human spirit (curse or blessing) that screams indignity at “impossible” circumstances! Railing. Futile? Sometimes the only voice you hear is in that scream, but you NEED to hear yourself. As in the Zen “view” (from “11 religious views of life”…) – ‘What is the sound of shit happening?’
