My 25th high school reunion is coming up on Nov. 28th. As usual, I will not attend it, and I am proud of maintaining that tradition. What do you think of reunions - family, school, etc.?

I think that...despite everything, I'll consider attending the ones that come up, simply because there are some loose ends I didn't tie up before high school ended...

I'd like to attend but unfortunately I moved to a different country. I'd like to go with my GF an(I'm a lesbian) and show people who I really am. My 10 year is this year, maybe I can make the next one.

Nope, I'd never go. Even if I was healthy.

Reunions.... comparative social models in order to gauge and measures ones successes or failures. Hook up with old lunch room cliques, gossip about who married who, and who cheated on who, who wound up in prison or porn.

Basically, its still high school or college level drama for adults. Its natural human curiosity to wonder, but usually overrated. People that were ugly and or nerdish, 3/4 of them turn out to be absolutely beautiful, and the social elite of their times, turn out to be overweight and overindulge in the neighborhood tavern and tune into NASCAR on the weekends.

I never got an invitation to any of the reunions at my hi skule. and I lived
across the alley from the stinkin place  not like they didn't know
where I were or anything

and yes, I have been deeply saddened lo these many years that I haven't
had the opportunity to see all the people I never wanted to see in the first
place 10, 20, or 30 years after the fact :massmoon:
