I am looking for a revelation. Whether it is the meaning of life, the "truth" or some grand idea, I need some big change. Ideas?

I wish I could give you a revelation, but unfortunately, only you can do that.

So, I'll recommend some books that changed the way I view the world. Maybe they'll help you:

Plato's The Republic (Or his dialogues if you're looking for something long)
    St. Augustine's Confessions
Nietzsche's Beyond Good and Evil or if you like stories Thus Spake Zarathustra
    Dan Ariely's Predictably Irrational

Also, here are some really awesome lectures from TED:

    Seth Godin on Sliced Bread.
Malcom Gladwell on Tomato Paste. It's a really interesting way to think.
Sir Ken Robinsen on how schools kill creativity.
    Carl Honore on slowing down.
Barry Schwartz on the paradox of choice.

Also, this is a speech that changed the way I look at life:
Steve Job's Stanford commencement speech. It has some really good stories, which I find inspiring.

Hopefully you'll find something there that inspires you, or gives you what you're looking for.

Do what makes YOU happy and as long as it doesn't kill or mame someone else, who cares if it steps on a few toes while you're doing it.
