    Don’t let up,

    For when ends don’t meet,

    depression is rife,

and your at the end’s strife.

    Don’t forget,

    the dazzling light,

    within the darkest depths,

    guiding your path,

    caressing your tears,

    shielding you from fears.

    Don’t dwell,

    on the darkness,

for the light has etched your burning passion,

    unto the lassoed negativity.

    For your courage,

unleashed is the lion of strength,

    no longer trapped.

As your valour defeats the weakened forces of darkness.

    Don’t submit,

For you will always rise victorious again.

( Sorry for the "cheese", I'm trying to incorporate some positive poems into my massive dark, gloomy poetry collection. Inspirational poems aren't my forte.)

I don't think it's cheesy at all :) I often write dark poems as well, but once in a while it is nice to write something that is more upbeat. I like it :)

Thanks Witty! I find the hardest thing about positive poems is trying to make it original and not cheesy. Especially hard, when you're going through stressful periods in your life.

Yep, I agree with you there. I feel I can only write happier poems when I am in a good mood or trying to find something that makes me happy.
