As you look into my eyes
You will see a child who never cried
    A broken soul deep within
    You committed a cardinal sin

The title father is one that’s earnt
Not one given when a child you burnt
An 11 year old girl who learnt to hate
You will never enter through heavens gate

I see you face and hear your voice
This child within who had no choice
So now I dream but cannot scream
For fear they’ll guess this man so mean

So day by day I live this life
And now of late am someone’s wife
Deep inside you took my soul
I wonder if ever I’ll ever be whole

The answer I will never know
Step by step I need to grow
But should that day ever come
When time is runs our before I’m done

I hope you sit back and say
It’s down to me she ended this day
I try my best not to hate
But its much more difficult for me of late.

Sorry you are fighting the demons these days my friend. I hope your poetry gives you some release much like mine does. Here whenever you need me!
