    Reviews always welcome.

You held me in your arms,
Stayed up with me at night,
    Carried me through the terrors,
    Chased away the fright.

    You brought from me feelings,
    That I could not comprehend,
    Gave to me their meaning,
    Helped me start to mend.

    Yet everything you’ve done,
    You haven’t done for me,
You’ve wrapped me around your finger,
    Refused to set me free.

    Everything you say to me,
    Everything you do,
I see it all so clearly now,
    I see what’s really you.

    The truth within your actions,
    Speaks louder than your words,
You did not want me mended,
You wanted me to be yours.

No matter how I tried to speak,
    You didn’t hear my pain,
When I would not go quiet,
    You stormed away again.

    Accusing me of trying,
    To hurt you every day,
You tried to hold me hostage,
As I tried to get away.

But now I know it’s futile,
    You will never hear,
The words you do not want to,
    Never see the fear.

Will I have to end it all,
    For you to truly see,
Or will my pleas get through to you,
I beg you, set me free.
