Ok, well I didn't know if it would be better to put it in this section or another so here it goes:

I think I have performance anxiety. As the title blatantly says, with sex. Does depression affect your sexual function? I'd like to know because when ever I want to 'do it' with someone, I just can't get it up easily. Or it takes an awfully long time and it's not as 'rewarding' as masturbating.

Sorry if this is in the wrong section or something, and any help's appreciated :).

Mixture of depression plus meds means i have a few issues.

But, i am single and not looking so it's not really a problem at the moment.

if you have a caring and understanding partner then these are issues you can work through together.

first thing i gotta say - meds!:D i was takin some pills for a few months long long time ago, k? when it came to sex - just couldnt get hard. do what u want - just couldnt. then i said 'oh, fuck that'. took another few months to get back to normal. horrible!!! now then i was scared!!:D when ure around 20yo n have libido problems , now thats scary! ever since - no meds apart from paracetamol and the likes - and no problems lol make sure u read the 'side effects' section very carefully before taking any pills lol
another issue might be purely psychological. especially if its been long time since the last time u had sex. if ure scared that u wont perform n ur partner wont like it, again, that might be the reason. gotta be confident n believe in urself n ur abilities, as soon as ull convince urself thats gonna be a nite she will never 4get - everything will be just fine. thats the theory. but how to do it.. well, 4 me it came with experience. dunno how old r u tho. just try to relax n take it easy:D

ah yeh, forgot to add this - some alcohol should always do the job. not too much - If too much its gonna be a disaster lol, but a few glases of wine always helps big time, for both male n female, as u relax n become more confident. thats guaranteed, tested n approved:D

I think that this should be in the sexual discussion forum, but it's cool. I've heard that some medications can decrease sexual function, but if you can get it up when you're masturbating, then your problem is probably psychological. It could be fear of failure? Erection is all about blood flow. You could try Viagra or Cialis, but you'll need a prescription.

meds don't help really (when it comes to sex). a friend used to be really wild in bed, now she just goes to sleep and doesn't have any libido. at all.
