    shiny things

    little eve

    wanders. wonders.

    rocks below
    and walls that go
    (around)
    she follows the glow.

    her tiny feet
    the tracks aren’t deep
    but that she comes
    one still doth know.

    little eve
    notes a humming, spies bright green
    a body, lean
    smooth scales that gleam.

    a dancing gait
    and jingle bells
    her heart beats fast
    but this is the last

    time she’ll follow the dragon.
