In my head there is a silent scream,
I can never let it out,
I scream for those without a voice,
Those who wish that they can shout,
"How could you do this to me?"

Their abusers do not fully know,
    The damage that they do,
The shattering of a life so precious,
Of happy memories there are too few.

The future rests with our children,
They turn more wicked every day,
    Forcing upon one other,
Things that are too cruel to say,

As I hold this scream inside,
    Fighting back the tears,
    I am left speechless.

wow that is very powerful and I love the choice of words. It paints a tragic and sad image but so real. I can totally relate to it...great poem

Thank you . I silently scream every time I watch the news. I agree with your quote. More people need to stand up for what's right or nothing will ever change.
