    Friends,

The amount of time I've spent on SF lately has increased exponentially. You are all an inspiration to me, you are all keeping me together. Hearing your stories and reading your posts makes me feel like I'm not the only person in the universe. My name is Glenn as you may already know. I've been many things in my life. A drug addict, twice a suicide survivor, a victim of abuse, an orphan, a lonely soul. Poetry and music have long been part of my life through it all. I'll add more if there is interest, so please let me know what you think.

My first item to share are the lyrics to my song called "In the Deep". this song is dedicated to my friend Lauren, I wrote it the day she went to the hospital. I hope to eventually record this song.

    In the Deep

    VERSE 1
A dimly lit, but starry sky unfolds
Above a frigid sea that we both know
Ever changing, but it's exactly the same
She calls to me from the crashing waves
Were I the tempest, I would carry you away
A sailor's heart lies in this dismal grave
They've said at shore, a widow remains
But I know she's out there calling my name

    (but she, but she..)

    CHORUS
But she found her faith, at the bottom of the ocean depth
And she has been baptized repeatedly, holding her breath
If I had my way, I'd trade places with her any day
Yes, I'd suffer for you and I'd save you from your dismay

Yeah, she found her faith, half dead in the ocean depth
her eyes remain open completely, longing for breath
Leviathon, carry me all the way down to this place
I've been swept out to sea and I'm dying to see her face

    VERSE 2
If the storm is over, and you never return
A piece of me goes with you, I forever burn
If you return to me on the tepid, turning tide
I'm absent from the shore, far too deep to find
I haven't felt the same since it washed you away
I've been searching in the ocean every single day
Deep under the stormy sea, my thirst will be quenched
I'll search deeper in the ocean than Mariana's trench

    (cuz she, cuz she)

    CHORUS
Cuz she found her faith, at the bottom of the ocean depth
And she has been baptized repeatedly, holding her breath
If I had my way, I'd trade places with her any day
Yes, I'd suffer for you and I'd save you from your dismay

Yeah, she found her faith, half dead in the ocean depth
her eyes remain open completely, longing for breath
Leviathon, carry me all the way down to this place
I've been swept out to sea and I'm dying to see her face

    OUTRO
In the deep we rest, in the deep we rise
or in the deep we'll end, in the deep we'll die

thanks for reading, please feel free to comment.

Believe me, If I had means to record it, I would. Disclaimer: my stronger talent is in lyrics, not guitar playing :p

It was very good. But I expected it to be, since I already knew you as an AFI fan :)
