    sky's falling, through oceans grey,
an iron mist upon fields of fray.
    lonely, tranquil hate ebbs away,
white, frozen, crystals of a day.
immortal cold, fleeing those who pray,
a maggot, fleeing where it may.
    undying, unending, deep delay,
delay of words but what to say.
an echo, an echo, not heard today,
a phantom pleads us to slay.
    world's of ashen hearts obey,
bled dry of our black dismay.
ends of all stood with a way,
    sky's falling, crashing down today.

thanks for the replies :) i used to write alot of 'on-the-spot' poems or short stories, just to try and capture thoughts. used to live a good life, trying to live the habits of recent years backwards and re-capture that life. i'll keep trying.
