Bit of an outreach for me, but who else regularly takes these?

I started taking xxxx one-a-night to help me sleep but now i take 2 or 3 a night to put me 'down' then i sleep properly.

Without them i'll wake up every 2 hours, get awful sleep and feel like crap. When i take them i dream (which i haven't done since going back onto Flux. 40mg a day) and sleep alot deeper, but i struggle to wake up

A 'side affect' of Fluxetine is sleeplessness, but its the only AD that really helps my mental state

I'm at a complete loss at the moment, do any any other sufferers have any advice they can give? I really think i'm starting to become dependent on sleeping tablets.

I've been to the doctors and they also gave me sleeping tablets, i just want to know if there is another way!

    Help much appreciated

    A x

I used to take calms. They are herbal so i didnt think there would be a problem.
I realised i was heading for trouble when i realised i couldnt afford any more one day. I couldnt sleep all night worrying about it.
I went cold turkey and now im off them.
Im like you though, i need something to knock me out but lately even that doesnt work.

    tried loads.

ive always had sleeping problems when it mixed in with the depression its a mess.

IMO nytol, calms, and any other herbal type of stuff (mainly antihistamine i think) is worhtless.

been on benzos and z-drugs (zopiclones - really nasty) too.

benzos (been maily valiums for me) worked the best but are addictive and can make a mess of you (im regards to drinking on them etc)

my advice - try and keep off them unless you really are losing the plot without them.

sorry but i dont know of any other methods (i really wish i did). i think there are specialist sleep clinics etc tho.

get off the drugs and ask fro melatonin, its natural and doesnt have any side effects, you may have to take more than regular to sleep but its not a drug, and you have the most vivid, lucid dreams ever
