You're so small you fit right into the circle of my arms
I rest my fingers on your shoulder blades
I am not afraid that they will cut me, you are my safety
I rest my head on your shoulder so my nose is buried
Deep in the grace of your hair that curls around your neck
So I can inhale you, the dusky scent of enchanted kisses
I breathe you in and lull myself into a dreamlike state
The warmth of your skin glows through mine
Seeping through the pain and sorrow to the core
I lift my hand and run my fingers through your hair
Watching my fingers chase the strands, tears come to me
You squeeze me tighter, you sense the wrench in my mood
Husshh, Husshh, you moan softly, your breath in my ear
Your name in my heart, hushh..
You console me, but then, you never did understand..
You're beautiful, I whisper back, softly and with the tone of..
Well a broken child I suppose, thats how overpowering it is
On these hot autumn nights when I have you wrapt in me
    Beautiful and vulnerable, sometimes sleeping,
Sometimes you fall asleep so softly as I stroke your hair
And memorise your features, my princess,
And you don't believe me when I tell you you are beautiful
I cannot silence your protestations or console your fears
Husshh.. Husshh.. I gaze over you this night
As the setting sun streaks over you in lines and circles
I follow each golden arrow and kiss your warm skin
And you smile in your saintly sleep, I love you..

    I love you

  2. Oh that's so beautiful...

and how close yet far apart we can feel in the same moment. (You made me wistful...)
