  1. Slow Epiphany

    to my chagrin
    I have discovered;
    Throughout our history
    we have been doomed
    Life is meaningless,
    but for our infinite and
    pathetically inconsequential struggles
    for reason in an infinite universe
    We are cockroaches upon the earth
    using and abusing
    every single thing we imagine
    is outside of us
    We delude ourselves
    with being “normal",
    and following the beaten path
    towards oblivion
    until lightening strikes,
    and then ask Why
    There is no reason
    The weather is what it is
    But we fake being alive,
    throughout our years,
    young and old
    and only those who suffer incessantly,
    with thought, effort, and due diligence,
    all for naught,
    know the truth;
    What a waste
    What a shame we are
    to The Creator

    Beautiful, yet so sad in its revealing truth.

    So accurate, as always. Was going to quote some, but would have to quote it all.

    Missing your poems/presence here.
