Sober.

    Poetry of a feeble mind...

    waking up sober, unlike those
    Drunken nights you thought him over...
    with your eyes too dry, and your lips coated in smudged maroon
    I couldn't love you, because you left too soon
    those night alone I scream myself to sleep
    Sleepin the thoughts I'd not like to keep
    when the world is awake, I will be fast asleep
    Numb, to the drone to the drone of that hysterical hum
    and you will be alone.
