I was afraid of posting this because I was afraid of who would see it, but should I really care if people find out I'm on this forum? If they really don't like me for this, they weren't my friends in the end.

So this was what I sent to a girl I like in university for Valentine's Day. I sent her an anonymous valentine and in the card I included this:

I wish I had the courage to tell you how I feel
Whenever you’re not around, I find myself thinking about you.
Whenever I see you smile, my heart melts.
Whenever I talk to you, I hope I say the right things.
Whenever you leave, I feel like I’ve lost the
    opportunity to make an impression.

I always wonder what kind of guy you want to make your own.
    Do you want an academic?
    Does an athlete interest you?
Maybe you just want a hopeless romantic?
Can I be the type of guy that you want?

I sent this to her and initially unfortunately she thought it was a prank. She couldn't believe a guy would send something like this to her. I managed to convince her it probably wasn't a prank. She said it did make her smile and happy. I guess at the end of the day if it did this, it was definitely worth the effort. I just wish I had the courage to tell her....

HEARTS WERE MADE TO GIVE AWAY

Hearts were made to give away
    On Valaentine's good day;
Wrap them up in dainty white,
Send them off the thirteenth night,
Any kind of heart that's handy--
Hearts of lace, and hearts of candy,
Hearts all trimmed with ribbands fine
    Send for good St. Valentine.
Hearts were made to give away
    On Valentine's dear day.
